Best Chai Tea - A recipe to soothe the soul and boost your immune system

This chai makes a delicious addition to any day served hot or chilled.

Ingredients

1 tsp fennel
6 green cardamon pods
1-2 cloves
1 cinnamon stick
2 or more black peppercorns
1 star anise
1 inch of fresh ginger - peeled and sliced
1/2 cup of milk or almond/cashew milk
2 tsp loose black tea (or contents of 2 tea bags)
2 tsp sugar or to taste

Put the spices into a small cloth-muslim bag and smash with a heavy cup to release the aromatics.
Empty contents into a pot wth ginger and 2 cups of water.
Bring to a boil and simmer for 15-30 minutes - depending on how spicy you like it.
Add the milk. When it’s heated to your liking turn the heat off, add the tea and sugar.
Let it steep for 5 minutes and strain into a teapot.

Enjoy hot or chilled. Enjoy a quiet moment, curl up with a good book or take in the sweet sound current of your favorite mantra.
